As part of a Hispanic family, our ties are close, and Dayana Torrez pushes herself forward for the benefit of our family.

Our dad is an operator for Waste Management

Our mom is a small business owner, running her own daycare

Being the first in the family to go to college, my sister, Torrez, had to find her way to her classes alone.

After a stressful day of classes, Torrez is finally able to find a place to relax on campus

My sister actively looking for an internship at the Marymount Career Fair.

Helping out our brother as he practices his reading skills.

Making snacks for our younger siblings.

Even after classes, my sister squeezes in time to help our brother with his homework.

Despite the amount of time she is away, she always makes time to have meals together.
