The 1 Journey Festival was held June 2nd at the Washington Cathedral. Many people gathered to listen to refugee stories, see performances from different cultures, and learn how to take positive action in the refugee crisis.

Marymount students participated
in the 1 Journey Festival
by volunteering their time and energy.

Marymount students had an excellent opportunity to help change the narrative regarding refugees. A group in Marymount’s Video Production course interviewed, filmed, and edited video content regarding the 1 Journey Festival. Festival organizers and volunteers shared their stories and motivations for creating this festival.
